Whitewash winners go top

PADIHAM Snooker Centre have taken over at the top of the Nelson and District Semi-Snooker League following their 5-0 win over St Andrew's C.
Paul Rinaldi compiled a break of 77 and Shaun Greenall had a run of 44 in the whitewash as Wayne Cotterill put in a 49-break, only to lose.
Tony Arnott had a 40 clearance for Alexandra who drop to second place despite a 3-2 win at Byerden House A.
Elsewhere Andy Dibb put in a run of 43 from Old Band A who ended up 3-2 home winners over Paradise A while Colne SC A were back in form with a 4-1 win over Liberal A.
Nelson Poultry A held-off St Andrew's A at The Gravel in a closely-fought game that went to the wire.
Other 3-2 winners were Lamb against Shorthomers A and Briercliffe C at Worsthorne.
Star C took no prisoners at White Lea Head as they went to the top of the Second Division courtesy of a 5-0 win.
Former leaders Dressers E drop to second spot after a 3-2 home win over Byerden House B and Daneshouse pulled-off a 4-1 win over Molly Rigby's A to secure third spot.
St Andrew's B managed a 3-2 home win over Old Band B for whom Paul Smith had a 39-break and Nigel Hargreaves had a run of 31 for David Street A as they got the better of Carters A 3-2.
Liberal B got back on track with a 4-1 win over Star B and Shorthomers B moved up the table with a 4-1 home win over Liberal C.
Dressers D remain in pole position in the Third Division after a 4-1 home win against Shorthomers C while Rileys SC move into second spot after accounting for David Street B by the same score.
Nelson Poultry C occupy third place following a 3-2 win at Star D and Molly Rigby's B climb to fourth after beating Carlton A by the same score.
Lamb C were 4-1 winners at Nelson Poultry D while Shorthomers D went through the card at home to Carters C, the losers ending up pointless for the third successive match.
The only other result saw Dressers C come away from Carlton B with 3-2 win.
