Burnley Wood Casuals are third following their 3-2 success over Longside, to goals from Clarke, Whittaker and Ecclestone, while George IV United top the Second Division despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Prairie Athletic.

Goss and an own goal were United's scorers, but Brogan and Thornton earned the visitors a share of the spoils.

However, second-placed The Mix United couldn't capitalise as they were also held to a 2-2 draw by Burnley Miners, with Williams and Taylor netting for The Mix.

Lane hit the only goal of the Rosegrove derby as Unity beat United, while a brace from Stevens and one from Thomas earned Glory a 3-0 victory at George and Dragon.

And a hat-trick from Corteen helped Burnley West End towards an impressive 10-2 thrashing of Ashworth Arms, with Hall (2), McMahon, Brodie, Stanworth, Price and Cole also on the scoresheet.

Craven United remain top of the Third Division, with a hat-trick from M. Harrison helping them to a 5-0 success over Pendle Rovers.

Jolly Sailor won by the same score at St Paul's, with Taylor bagging four and Price grabbing the other, while Digger, Fallows and Emerson gave Commercial a 3-1 win over The Grove.
