JOE Taylor's treble kept up Padiham Town's relentless march towards a fifth successive Burnley and District League title.
His hat-trick earned his side a 3-0 success at Prairie United, to leave them three points clear of closest rivals Michelin.

However, they kept up the pace with a 2-1 victory at bottom side Real Hapton.

After a goal-less first half, Anthony Fallows gave Michelin the lead before Peter Denwood brought the scores level.

However, Dale Goldsborough clinched the points for the visitors with a late strike.

In the other game, Matthew Makin netted in vain for Daneshouse as they lost 3-1 at home to Ighten Leigh.

Dylan Carter, Jamie Campbell and Gary Beaumont all netted for the visitors.

Meanwhile, due to the wet weather, only one game survived in the Burnley Memorabilia Burnley and District Sunday League.

Thornton Arms progressed in the Warburtons Towneley Cup with a 4-0 success over The Mix United, thanks to a brace apiece from Sam McDevitt and Daniel Embley.

Elsewhere, George IV were 3-0 up in their First Division clash with Burnley Wood Casuals, and Glory were 1-0 up against Rosegrove Unity in the Second Division, before both games were abandoned at half-time due to the conditions.
