PADIHAM boss Graham Howarth can feel more than aggrieved at not winning the Vodkat League First Division Manager of the Month award.
But I'm sure he couldn't care less as long as his side continue their run of wins.

The Storks have won their last seven games, the latest being the 3-2 success at home to Irlam on Saturday, courtesy of Paul Fildes' late goal.

Six of those wins came in October, but the North West Counties League overlooked that achievement to hand the award to Derek Goulding, of league newcomers and leaders, AFC Liverpool, who won one less match!

Padiham will look to carry on regardless, however, and they will go in search of win number eight against Premier Division derby rivals Ramsbottom United in the Vodkat League Cup second round tomorrow, at the Arbories (kick-off 3 p.m.).

Padiham Reserves were without a fixture on Saturday, but travel to face Irlam tomorrow.

The A team will look to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat at Rawtenstall in the East Lancashire League Second Division when they entertain Belvedere (kick-off 2 p.m.).

Meanwhile, Padiham Ladies, who top the LFA Women's County League First Division, continue their pursuit of honours on three fronts when they travel to Bury for an LFA League Cup tie on Sunday, kick-off 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, preparations are well in hand for Padiham FC's 130th anniversary Sportsman's Dinner.

Former England defender Dave Watson will be the special guest at the dinner on Thursday, November 27th, at Turf Moor.

Tickets cost £25 and are available from club secretary Alan Smith (771963 or 07775 717698).
