PENDLE, Burnley and District Anglers held their annual meeting at the Burnley League Club on Monday and thanks go to all who attended and made it an interesting night.

Four proposals were put forward to the committee.

All non-members who take children under the age of 12 fishing on Lowerhouse Lodge will now have to purchase a junior ticket for them, and only two children will be allowed at any one time.

Trevor Moffatt was voted on as assistant treasurer to Darren Foreman.
All Lowerhouse Lodge matches will be printed up and attached to the membership book.

But a proposal to stage no matches on Lowerhouse Lodge next season due to fish welfare was rejected.

Subscriptions have not been increased, so it is still one of the best value fishing cards in the north west, and Greenfield reservoir will be added to the card.

The club is asking if anyone is interested in forming a sub group on Rowley Lake.

This is to keep this water fishable and maybe sort out the stocking of this lake.

Anyone interested should attend a meeting at the Burnley League Club on December 8th at 8 p.m. or ask bailiff Ben Butterworth for more details.

Any member wanting to book on for night fishing on Lowerhouse Lodge will now have to book on at Mack's Tackle in Burnley.

Donald Clarkson had a super day on Lowerhouse Lodge last week as he took a big net full of mixed fish, John Garlic also found the fish feeding very well and he also took a big net of fish and some decent bream were among them.

My friend Mick Cookson is gathering information from the local vicinity about fishing and fishing rights and wonders if anyone has any information, or any old books that were kept for the minutes of any old Burnley fishing clubs.

He would like to borrow them for his research and can be contacted on 838673.
