George IV celebrate Express Cup win

THE George IV and George IV United Burnley Sunday League teams held their annual awards night at the Padiham Road pub to celebrate winning the Burnley Express First Division Cup and a runners-up finish in the First Division.
Landlord Steve Adams donated plenty of free beer and presented the awards.

The sides' top-scorers were Kieron Carroll (George IV) and Gary Bernard (George IV United), while Joe Garvin (George IV) and Anthony Bolton (George IV United) won the most man-of-the-match awards.

Players' Players of the Season were Damian Ellison (George IV) and Anthony Bolton (George IV United), and the Managers' Players of the Season were Kieron Carroll (George IV) and Brad Slater and Liam Farley (George IV United).

A special award was also presented to club secretary Darren Hunt to show the players' appreciation for his hard work running both teams.
