Burnley RUFC 15, Aldwinians 5
BURNLEY earned their second league win of the season to move up three places in the league, as they begin to show they are a good side after losing their first six games of the campaign.

Their first try was scored by youngster Phil Hesketh, who showed a clean pair of heels as he received the ball from a good run by captain Getty Schinkel to score in the corner, although the conversion was missed.

Next to score was Mike Walker, as inter-passing through new recruit Riki Cribb and Simon Finnan sent the try scorer away to run half the length of the pitch, beating two men, although, again, the conversion was missed.

The half finished with handbags at dawn, and a player from each side enjoying 10 minutes of rest after receiving a yellow card.

In the second half, the Manchester side came back into it, scoring a try out wide, but Burnley weren't for throwing this game away, and substitute Gavin Gregory made a darting run, and from the resulting scrum, Laurie Smith crossed for a 15-5 lead.

This is how the game finished, and Burnley now move on to play at Tyldesley tomorrow.
