Police probe party attack outside Old Duke pub

A POLICE investigation has been launched after a man was savagely beaten outside the Old Duke pub for allegedly assaulting a young girl at a christening party.
The 41-year-old man is believed to have been chased from the Briercliffe Road pub on Sunday evening.
He was reportedly kicked and punched while on the floor outside the pub before being rushed to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
He was later arrested by police on allegations of indecent assault and is currently helping police with their inquiries.
The incident is believed to have taken place at 6-30 p.m. while a party was taking place at the pub.
