Police probe nightclub bottle attack

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked with a bottle in a Burnley nightclub, leaving him needing hospital treatment.

The incident happened at Lava and Ignite in Hammerton Street around 1-30 a.m. on Sunday when a 30-year-old man was attacked close to a DJ stand.

He was hit over the head with a glass bottle leaving him with cuts.

The victim was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where he needed six stitches.

Police are hunting an Asian man, who was part of a group. The attacker is believed to be aged 20 to 30, around 5ft. 10in. tall. and of stocky build with very short hair. He was wearing a green T-shirt with a motif on the chest.
