Police appeal over Briercliffe assault

A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been robbed during an unprovoked attack on Sunday night.
The man was walking home along an alley between Standen Hall Drive and Grassington Drive, Burnley, at 9-40 p.m. when he was hit over the head from behind.

He fell to the floor before the attacker - with two accomplices - demanded he give him all his money, which was £20. The victim did not need to be taken to hospital but was left shaken by the assault.

The offender is described as a white man, 6ft. tall, of slim build with a shaven head and aged 18 to 21. He had a long face and was wearing a black jacket with blue tracksuit bottoms.

The other men were were described as being aged around 20.
