Boys aged 13 and 14 accused of vicious attack on Burnley man

THREE teenagers have appeared in court in connection with an attack on a man in his home.

Christopher Varley (19), of Redvers Street, Burnley, a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on a 40-year-old man.

The assault, which left the victim with head injuries and cuts and bruises all over his body, took place at the victim's home on Saturday.

The teenagers appeared before Burnley magistrates and their case has been sent to Burnley Crown Court. Varley was remanded in custody and the two youths were bailed until the hearing on December 2nd.
